Dubrovnik ballet students complete professional internship in Split

Students from the ballet department of the Luka Sorkočević Art School in Dubrovnik participated in their first professional internship at the Croatian National Theatre (HNK) Split. This marks the first time in the 36-year history of ballet education in Dubrovnik that students have been granted such an opportunity.

During the internship, the young dancers worked alongside professional ballet artists and pedagogues, performing in the production of ‘Giselle’ as part of the 72nd Split Summer Festival. The school noted that the experience served as a vital bridge between the classroom and the professional stage.

In addition to their work in Split, the students also performed during the 77th Dubrovnik Summer Games, marking a summer of significant professional exposure across two major stages.
