Balkan region reports multiple criminal and regulatory enforcement actions

Various criminal and regulatory enforcement actions have been reported across the Balkan region. In Albania, a double homicide occurred in Dukagjin where a father and son were killed in a shooting involving over 50 bullets. Additionally, a fatal car accident in Manëz has brought the death toll to four, including a 16-year-old.

In Montenegro, maritime inspections in Kotor and Bar resulted in 90 checks and 59,200 euros in fines, while authorities in Podgorica conducted an operation to remove abandoned vehicles. In Cetinje, police checked 36 foreign nationals, taking legal measures against 13. Traffic enforcement in Montenegro also saw 107 drivers arrested over a weekend, many for driving under the influence.

In Croatia, a 62-year-old man was arrested for intentionally starting fires in a house and garage on Krk, and another individual was detained in Dubrovnik for causing a forest fire with pyrotechnics. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, a director in Kozarska Dubica faces charges for tax evasion totaling 109,489 KM, and reports highlight significant unpaid traffic fines among top debtors.

In Slovenia, police apprehended 205 migrants and smugglers over a three-day period near the border.
