Dubrovnik Pass named finalist for European sustainable tourism award

Dubrovnik Pass has reached the finals of the 2026 European Sustainable Cultural Tourism Destination Awards (ECTN Awards). It is competing in the category of ‘Digitalisation in Smart TourismCultural Heritage and Creativity aspects, enhancing visitor experiences’.

The model was selected for its integration of cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, public transport, and smart visitor management. The system utilizes real-time visitor tracking and crowd prediction tools to support heritage preservation while generating revenue for cultural institutions. In August, the Dubrovnik Pass generated 3,492,280 euros in revenue, a 15 percent increase compared to the same month the previous year.

The winners will be announced at a conference in Skiathos, Greece, from September 23 to 26, 2026. In addition to the expert jury, the public can vote for the ‘Public Choice Award’.
