Dubrovnik region advances EU‑funded concert hall and school projects

The City of Dubrovnik and the University of Zagreb are jointly developing a multifunctional concert and congress hall on the Preparandija site. The proposed venue would provide a main hall for about 450 attendees and a smaller hall for 150, plus a garage with 204 parking spaces. The project is being integrated into the city’s revised urban plan and is supported by the national government.

In the nearby town of Cavtat, a new school complex valued at €23 million is under construction, with €18 million provided by European Union funds. The school will accommodate around 560 pupils and includes a multipurpose sports hall that will serve both the school and the wider community. Completion is expected in August, after which the facility will be handed over for use.

Both initiatives exemplify significant EU‑backed investments in the Dubrovnik‑Neretva County, aiming to enhance cultural, educational and community infrastructure in the region.
