Dubrovnik reports record tourism revenue and urban updates

Dubrovnik is experiencing significant growth in its tourism sector, with the Dubrovnik Pass reporting record revenues. In September, the digital tourist card generated 4,142,360 euros, a 19 percent increase compared to the same month last year. Total revenue for the first nine months of the year has already surpassed the total revenue recorded in 2019.

The city is also focusing on urban development and sustainability. As part of the ‘Drvored’ project, 35 new palm trees were planted near the historic core in the Uz Posat street. Additionally, Dubrovnik has been nominated again for the title of World's Leading Sustainable Destination. Mayor Mato Franković recently represented the city at the Euronews Travel & Tourism Summit in Brussels.

In the Neretva River delta, the sixth Sand Art Festival is currently taking place near Ploče. The event features artists from Croatia and abroad creating large-scale sand drawings that are viewed from the air. The duration of the artworks is determined by the tides, with digital recordings used to promote the Neretva valley as a tourist destination.
