Tuzla hosts posthumous exhibition of artist Edin Dervisevic

A posthumous exhibition honoring Bosnian visual artist Edin Dervisevic opened on 7 July 2026 at the Mi Ritmo gallery in Tuzla. The show, titled “Mi Ritmo”, presents 49 works – paintings, sculptures and installations – spanning the artist’s career and marking the third anniversary of his death. Organisers Mirsad Hadžiefendić and Dervisevic’s widow Rejhana coordinated the display, drawing on pieces from the artist’s extensive oeuvre and emphasizing the emotional and cultural impact of his art on Tuzla and Bosnia‑Herzegovina.

The exhibition also recalls Dervisevic’s background: born in 1961, educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, and active since the 1990s with numerous solo and group shows across Europe. Visitors were invited to reflect on his legacy, with curatorial comments noting that the value of his work lies in its energy and personal expression rather than market price.
