The Dubrovnik Summer Festival concluded with the presentation of the Orlando Awards, honoring the most successful artistic achievements of the season. This year, the Council exceptionally awarded two Grand Prix prizes for artistic contribution to conductor Ivan Repušić and director Paolo Magelli.

Other award recipients included actor Frano Mašković for the most successful drama performance for his role in the premiere of Držić’s ‘Skup’, and violinist Roman Simović for the most successful performance at the festival, which featured the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Valentin Egel.

During the ceremony, Magelli expressed deep emotion, stating that this was the most cherished award of his life. Repušić, who performed ‘Carmina Burana’, thanked the festival's artistic director, the orchestra, and the audience, noting that the city's architecture provides a unique inspiration for music.
