Ducat integrates with TRON to expand Bitcoin-backed stablecoin liquidity

Ducat has announced its integration with the TRON network to expand the utility of its Bitcoin-backed financial infrastructure. The integration enables the use of USDT (TRC-20) for faster and lower-cost on-chain settlement and liquidity movement.

Through this development, users can access wUNIT, which is the TRC-20 representation of Ducat’s Bitcoin-backed dollar, UNIT. While UNIT is issued against Bitcoin on the Bitcoin network, wUNIT allows that value to move onto the TRON network to interact with existing stablecoin liquidity. A dedicated stablecoin liquidity pool has been established, allowing users to hold wUNIT or swap it directly for USDT, while liquidity providers can earn a share of swap fees.

The architecture utilizes a multi-layer approach: Bitcoin provides the underlying collateral and value, Ducat manages the monetary and credit logic, and TRON serves as the scalable settlement environment. This structure allows Bitcoin-backed liquidity to access TRON’s stablecoin ecosystem for payments and capital movement without moving the underlying collateral away from the Bitcoin network.
