Ducati announces 2027 updates for Desmo450 MX motocross models
Ducati has announced race-developed updates for its 2027 Desmo450 MX and Desmo450 MX Factory motocross models. These evolutions aim to improve performance, ergonomics, and durability based on feedback from the initial racing season.
Key mechanical updates include a new 51-tooth rear sprocket to increase torque responsiveness, redesigned gear and brake pedals, and a larger 40mm fuel tank cap for faster refueling. The motorcycles will feature new Pirelli Scorpion MX32 Mid-Soft tires. To enhance robustness, Ducati has reinforced several components, including the water-pump oil seal, exhaust manifold, starter motor gear, and engine mounting brackets.
A new predictive maintenance system will be introduced, utilizing a Wi-Fi module to adjust service intervals based on actual riding conditions. For the US market, Ducati will provide dedicated suspension settings and different triple clamps with a 22mm offset. The Desmo450 MX features a 449.6cc single-cylinder engine producing 63.5 horsepower and is equipped with Showa suspension and Brembo braking systems.
