Ducati faces challenges at MotoGP Austrian Grand Prix
The MotoGP Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring proved challenging for major manufacturers. Ducati, historically dominant at this circuit, failed to secure a podium position in the main race. While Marc Márquez performed well in the Sprint race, finishing second, brake issues during the main Grand Prix hindered his overall results. Pecco Bagnaia finished seventh in the main race.
Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna noted the unpredictability of the 2026 season, describing the team's performance as below expectations given their history at the venue.
Honda riders also secured points, with Johann Zarco finishing in tenth place and Takaaki Nakagami finishing thirteenth. The championship moves next to the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi in October.
