Ducati introduces Monster Dark naked bike

Ducati has officially unveiled the Monster Dark, a new minimalist variant of its iconic naked bike lineup. Inspired by the classic aesthetic of the original 1993 Monster, this version features an all-black livery, including blacked-out wheels, a single-material seat, and unpainted components such as the exhaust end caps and intake snorkel.

Mechanically, the Monster Dark remains consistent with the standard model, powered by an 890cc V2 engine equipped with intake variable valve timing. The engine produces 111 hp at 9,000 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm, with over 80 percent of the maximum torque available between 4,000 and 10,000 rpm. A limited 47 hp version is also available for A2 license holders.

The motorcycle utilizes an aluminum monocoque frame and a hybrid rear subframe, resulting in a curb weight of 175 kg, which is 4 kg lighter than the previous generation. Standard equipment includes Showa 43 mm upside-down front forks, Brembo brakes, and an electronic suite featuring cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine torque control.
