Ducati launches Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP in India

Ducati India has introduced the fourth-generation Hypermotard V2 and the track-focused Hypermotard V2 SP. Both models feature a new 890 cc V-twin engine, which is noted as the lightest twin-cylinder engine produced by the company at 54.4 kg. The engine delivers 120 HP and 94 Nm of torque, utilizing an intake variable timing system to provide significant torque at low RPMs.

A new monocoque chassis design uses the engine as a structural element, contributing to a weight reduction of 13 kg for the standard V2 and 14 kg for the V2 SP compared to previous generations. The V2 SP variant includes upgraded Öhlins suspension, Brembo M50 calipers, and forged aluminium wheels.

Both motorcycles are equipped with a 6-axis IMU electronics suite derived from the Panigale V4, featuring cornering ABS, traction control, and a 5-inch TFT dashboard. In India, pricing for the new lineup starts at ₹16,53,000 (ex-showroom).
