Ducati Secures Six MotoGP Bikes for 2027 Season with Gresini and VR46 Partnerships

Ducati confirmed multi‑year agreements to keep six motorcycles on the MotoGP grid through the 2027 season. Gresini Racing will run former MotoGP champion Joan Mir and Moto3 champion Daniel Holgado on satellite Ducati machines, with Holgado saying, “Competing in the premier class is my dream.”

Valentino Rossi’s VR46 Racing Team will continue its partnership, fielding full‑factory riders Marc Márquez and Pedro Acosta and adding two additional 850 cc prototypes for 2027, expected to be ridden by Fermín Aldeguer and likely Nicolò Bulega. Ducati is developing a lighter 850 cc bike with reduced aerodynamics and no winglets, in line with new technical regulations that limit manufacturers to a maximum of six identical bikes from 2028.

The deals extend existing contracts that were set to expire at the end of 2026, ensuring Ducati’s continued presence as both a factory and satellite supplier in MotoGP.
