Ferrari market value exceeds Volkswagen, Stellantis, and Renault combined

The European automotive industry faces a significant shift in market valuation. Ferrari, the manufacturer of exclusive sports cars, currently holds a market value of approximately 71 billion dollars, surpassing the combined value of Volkswagen, Stellantis, and Renault, which totals 62 billion dollars.

Despite producing millions of vehicles and employing hundreds of thousands of people, major European conglomerates are seeing investor skepticism. Stellantis has lost over 56 percent of its value this year, while Renault’s market value sits at roughly 9.2 billion dollars. Analysts attribute this trend to increasing competition from Chinese manufacturers, who reportedly benefit from production costs that are 30 to 40 percent lower than their European counterparts.

In a separate development, Ferrari’s first electric model, the Luce, has reportedly sold out for 2027. Despite some criticism regarding its design, the model starts at 600,000 euros and features four electric motors delivering 1,050 HP. CEO Benedetto Vigna noted that customer perception improves significantly once they experience the vehicle in person.
