Ducati unveils 2027 Panigale V4 with 218 hp engine

Ducati has unveiled details for the 2027 Panigale V4, a model that incorporates significant technical advancements derived from MotoGP and Superbike racing. The new iteration features an upgraded Desmosedici Stradale engine, which now produces 218 hp—an increase of 2 hp over the previous generation achieved through improved airflow and reduced internal friction.

Engineers have redesigned several core components, including the airbox intake, exhaust system, and lubrication processes. To better utilize the power in the upper RPM range, the gearbox's final drive has been extended and the rev limiter raised by 500 rpm. These modifications aim to improve braking, cornering speed, and traction while making the bike more intuitive for riders.

Additionally, Ducati is releasing a special silver-themed Panigale V4 R. This livery serves as a tribute to the 1972 Imola 200 Miles, where Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari achieved a historic one-two finish on the 750 Imola Desmo.
