Duchess of Gloucester opens Rodda’s new cottage cheese facility
The Duchess of Gloucester officially opened a new £6 million purpose-built cottage cheese production facility at Rodda’s Creamery in Scorrier, Cornwall. The expansion aims to meet rising UK demand for cottage cheese and increase the dairy manufacturer's overall production capabilities.
The new site is expected to produce up to 4,000 tonnes of cottage cheese annually and has created 20 skilled jobs. During the visit, the Duchess toured the facility to observe the manufacturing process from milk curd to packaging and unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the opening.
