Dudley Dotoi eyes NRL opportunities ahead of Rugby League World Cup

Papua New Guinea rugby league player Dudley Dotoi is viewed as a rising talent heading into the Rugby League World Cup. Dotoi, a winger for the Townsville Blackhawks, has earned consecutive Winger of the Year accolades in the Queensland Cup, recording 62 tries in 53 games.

Former Kangaroo Terry Campese, who currently coaches the Blackhawks, highlighted Dotoi’s strength, speed, and agility as key attributes that could secure him a place in the National Rugby League (NRL). While Dotoi has had limited NRL exposure, including a stint with the West Tigers and a trial with the North Queensland Cowboys, Campese believes the World Cup will serve as a vital platform for him to demonstrate his capabilities.
