Duga Resa students visit Rijeka for Think Squad project

Students, teachers, and the principal from Duga Resa High School participated in a study trip to Rijeka as part of the ‘Think Squad’ project. The initiative, organized by LAG Vallis Colapis, aims to teach students how to identify community needs, design solutions, and participate in decision-making processes regarding funding.

During the visit, participants met with representatives from the City of Rijeka, the First Croatian Gymnasium, and the Delta Association. They explored various models of civic engagement, including the Rijeka Local Partnership Program and the European FREELAND project, which focuses on involving youth in urban development. Students also learned about participatory budgeting through the ‘Akcija za 5!’ program.

The Think Squad project is a partnership between LAG Vallis Colapis and Duga Resa High School, supported by the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth. The project, valued at 34,000 euros, is scheduled to run from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2027.
