DUI accuses Izet Medhiti of financial mismanagement in Chair Municipality
The Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) has leveled accusations of financial mismanagement against Izet Medhiti, the head of the Chair Municipality, regarding the allocation of public funds to local sports clubs.
According to the DUI, KK Chair failed to meet the financial obligations required for licensing and will consequently be excluded from the Superleague for the 2026/2027 season. The party highlighted that the municipality allocated 3.6 million denars to the basketball club in 2026 alone, yet the club was unable to settle its debts with the federation.
The DUI further noted a potential conflict of interest, claiming that an individual involved in the club's management is also an employee within Medhiti's administration with responsibilities in the finance sector. The party is demanding transparency regarding the total amount of public funding received by the club and a detailed account of how the 3.6 million denars were utilized.
