After exiting the window, he climbed the building's facade to the roof and successfully navigated the rooftop security to disappear.

Investigators discovered a sophisticated hidden compartment beneath the linoleum floor of his cell, where tools used for the escape were likely kept. While the specific tools have not been recovered, the Ministry is investigating how such equipment was smuggled into the facility. The incident has caused political tension for Justice Minister Benjamin Limbach, as it follows recent investigations into prison staff corruption in the region.

Saša D. was in custody facing charges related to theft and had previously been sentenced to six years for residential burglaries involving significant financial losses.
