Duisburg hosts German Judo Championships
The German Judo Championships took place on 6‑7 June in Duisburg’s PSV sports hall, organized by PSV Duisburg. About 400 judoka from across the country competed in multiple weight categories for both men and women. Seven defending champions returned, and the opening ceremony attracted numerous political and sports figures. Ticket prices were €20 for adults on a single day, €30 for a two‑day pass.
At the recent Judo European Championships in Sarajevo, the Hansa Sportverein (HSV) Stöcke team secured two silver medals in the U21 Nage‑no‑Kata, adding to Germany’s strong showing among 452 participants from 28 nations.
