Duitama hosts 30th Cacique Tundama Andean Music Contest

Duitama is hosting the 30th edition of the Cacique Tundama National Children and Youth Andean Music Contest from October 16 to 18, 2026. Organized by the Institute of Culture and Fine Arts of Duitama (Culturama), the event aims to promote new talent and preserve Colombian folklore.

Participants include children and youth from various municipalities such as Tunja, Sogamoso, Cali, Tocancipá, San Gil, and Garzón. The program features private auditions, national auditions, and a pedagogical session by the Bogotá Andean Music Philharmonic.

Latin Grammy nominee Victoria Sur, a former winner of the contest, will serve on the jury alongside Fabián Forero and Elizabeth Patiño. She is also scheduled to perform a star concert on Saturday, October 17, at the Los Enamorados Park acoustic shell.
