Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh conduct engagements in Scotland

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are conducting a series of engagements in Scotland. During their visit to the Edinburgh International Festival, the scheduled performance of Ingoma! was cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances.” Despite this change, Prince Edward is set to visit Dance Base to mark its 25th anniversary, and the couple is scheduled to attend a performance of the musical Come From Away.

As part of their itinerary, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, visited Capability Scotland, a charity providing care and support for individuals with complex physical and learning needs. She has served as the charity’s royal patron since December 2024, succeeding the late Prince Philip. The royal couple is expected to travel north to Balmoral Castle shortly to join the royal family for their annual summer holiday in the Scottish Highlands.
