The ninth-ranked Duke Blue Devils field hockey team defeated James Madison University 5-1 at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium. Duke dominated the match, outshooting James Madison 16-4 and maintaining a shutout for more than three quarters.

Kyle Massey led the Duke offense with two goals. Other scorers for the Blue Devils included Shae Wozniak, Ashley Stockdale, and Callie Rogers. Goalkeeper Kaiya Chepow earned the win, having not faced a shot until the fourth quarter.

Elena Giangaspero scored the lone goal for James Madison in the fourth quarter. The Dukes, currently 0-4, will next face No. 11 Virginia on Sunday.
