Dukla to host Carpathian-Dukla Battle historical reconstruction

The Historical Museum – Palace in Dukla is hosting a two-day outdoor event titled ‘Echoes of History. The Carpathian-Dukla Battle’ on September 12 and 13. The program features a large-scale battle reconstruction involving approximately 120 reenactors from Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

On the first day, activities include historical-military presentations at the heavy weapons open-air museum, a historical dramatization by local primary school students regarding the fate of Dukla residents, a concert by the Levoča Brass Band, and a lecture by Professor Andrzej Olejka titled ‘Dukla 1944’.

The second day will feature a major battle reconstruction at 13:00 near the Franków Shooting Range, accompanied by historical aircraft flyovers and displays of vintage military vehicles and equipment. Additionally, the Dukla Shooting Association will conduct demonstrations of both historical and modern firearms.
