FBI releases new age-progression image for missing Dulce Maria Alavez

The FBI has released a new age-progression image of Dulce Maria Alavez to assist in the search for the girl who disappeared seven years ago. Alavez was five years old when she went missing from Bridgeton City Park in Cumberland County, New Jersey, on September 16, 2019.

The new image, created by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, depicts what Alavez might look like now at age 12. This follows a previous 2021 image that faced criticism for inaccuracy.

Investigators from the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office and the New Jersey State Police continue to review the case and pursue new leads. No arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts, while other private sources have contributed to a total reward pool of $75,000. During a recent vigil, Alavez's mother, Noema Alavez, urged anyone with information to come forward.
