Dulquer Salmaan film ‘I’m Game’ faces box office risk
The Malayalam film ‘I’m Game’, starring Dulquer Salmaan and directed by Nahas Hidhayath, faces financial uncertainty ahead of its September 3rd release. Despite being one of the costliest films in the Malayalam industry with a budget of 70 crores, pre-bookings have reportedly been low, crossing only 1.55 crores worldwide. Some analysts suggest that a marketing strategy to underplay the film’s supernatural elements in the trailer may have negatively impacted initial interest.
During a pre-release event in Chennai, Dulquer Salmaan praised co-actor Kathir, describing him as a ‘born talent’ and noting his effortless performance. Kathir, who portrays a cricket captain in the film, shared that he had little prior experience with the sport before taking the role. The film has received a UA 16+ certificate from the censor board.
