Dulquer Salmaan takes responsibility for ‘I’m Game’ box-office failure

Actor Dulquer Salmaan has addressed the commercial underperformance of his recent film, ‘I’m Game’. Following the film's release, which marked Salmaan's return to Malayalam cinema after three years, the project received mixed reviews and struggled at the box office.

Responding to criticism on X regarding the film's failure, Salmaan acknowledged fan analyses of the production. While noting that some critiques were accurate, he emphasized the complexities of filmmaking, stating that ‘it’s never easy’ and that ‘outside factors’ can impact a project despite a team's best efforts.

Salmaan defended his production house, Wayfarer Films, and his colleagues, telling fans, ‘I’ll always stand by my team and if you want to blame someone, you can blame me.’ The film was directed by Nahas Hidhayath and produced under Salmaan's own banner.
