Duluth implements infrastructure and urban revitalization projects

Duluth is undergoing various urban improvements and infrastructure projects. The Railroad Street resurfacing project in Canal Park is nearing completion, with an expected finish date in mid-September. Recent phases of the work have necessitated temporary traffic shifts between 5th Avenue West and Harbor Drive to accommodate signal installation and roadwork.

Simultaneously, the Imagine Downtown initiative is advancing its five-year plan to revitalize the city's central hub. The organization is currently focusing on four priority areas: quality of life and safety, housing, economic development, and public space improvement. A component of this effort, the Pathway Forward Plan, involves collaboration between the Damiano Center, Chum, and Union Gospel Mission to address rising homelessness and improve service accessibility in the downtown area.
