Dulux has announced ‘Soulful Sage’ as its Colour of the Year for 2027. Described as an ethereal, soft, and silvery green, the shade is intended to promote a sense of calm, restoration, and connection to the natural world.

The selection marks a shift in interior design trends from the deep blues of 2026 toward a botanical-inspired palette. Soulful Sage serves as the anchor for three curated colour stories: ‘Glow’, ‘Light’, and ‘Lift’.

According to Dulux Creative Director Marianne Shillingford, the theme ‘Live Lightly’ reflects a consumer desire for homes to act as sanctuaries against busy lives and information overload. The color is designed to be versatile, complementing earthy tones, quiet shades, or more joyful colors.
