Dumai City Government partners with BRK Syariah for affordable housing

The Dumai City Government has partnered with PT Bank Riau Kepri (BRK) Syariah and various property developers to expand access to affordable housing for government employees. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, specifically targets Civil Servants (ASN) and Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) who do not yet own homes.

Mayor Paisal stated that the program utilizes a long-term financing scheme with tenures of up to 40 years, aiming to keep monthly installments low, estimated at approximately Rp300,000. Additionally, the city plans to develop a new residential area in Bagan Besar, near Jalan Soekarno-Hatta, to coincide with the gradual relocation of government offices to that region.
