Dumitru Vangheli misrepresented 2006 US arrest details

An investigation has revealed that Dumitru Vangheli, the former director of MoldATSA who was dismissed for falsifying his CV, provided inaccurate statements regarding a 2006 arrest in the United States.

Vangheli previously claimed he had only received a speeding ticket while participating in a Work and Travel program. However, court records from Walton County, Florida, indicate he was actually detained in a criminal case for driving without a valid license. Following his release on a $500 bail, he left the United States, leading to an 11-year period during which American authorities sought him. The records also include allegations regarding the issuance of a check without sufficient funds.
