It recommends constructing garden bird baths that fill slowly, include a flat stone in the centre for birds to perch, and are placed in shaded or semi‑shaded locations. The park advises positioning baths out of reach of cats, near shrubs or young trees for quick escape, using rainwater when possible, and ensuring regular water replacement to avoid stagnation. Continuous refilling is essential, and deceptive short‑term watering should be avoided.
