Dunav Film Fest opens in Smederevo with Tanja Brzaković film

The 9th Dunav Film Fest in Smederevo is set to open on August 21 with the screening of ‘Kuća’ (The House), the feature debut by director Tanja Brzaković. The film, a co-production between Serbia, Croatia, and Germany, follows an architect of Serbian origin living in Berlin who returns to his ancestral village in Stara Planina to sell family property, only to find himself embroiled in a local struggle against corrupt developers.

In Zrenjanin, the 20th tour of the ‘Slobodna zona’ Film Festival continues through August 28. The program includes a screening of the documentary ‘Lula’, directed by Oliver Stone and Robert R. Wilson, which focuses on Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Additionally, the Cultural Center of Zrenjanin will host the Patos Theater from Smederevo on August 22 for a performance of the play ‘Predstava’.
