Duncan Kenworthy to receive BAFTA Fellowship

British producer Duncan Kenworthy is set to receive the BAFTA Fellowship, the highest honor from the British Academy, at a special ceremony on Friday, October 23. The award recognizes his extraordinary contribution to film, his commitment to protecting British talent, and his impact on storytelling.

Over a career spanning more than five decades, Kenworthy has been a defining figure in modern British cinema. He is widely recognized for his creative partnership with Richard Curtis, producing iconic romantic comedies such as ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ (1994), ‘Notting Hill’ (1999), and ‘Love Actually’ (2003).

In addition to his film work, Kenworthy co-founded the independent production company DNA with Andrew Macdonald. His television credits include ‘Sesame Street’, ‘Fraggle Rock’, and the Emmy-winning ‘Gulliver’s Travels’, developed through his long-standing association with Jim Henson and The Jim Henson Company. He has also held significant leadership roles within BAFTA and has supported industry diversity through the Toledo Scholarship.
