Dundee United defeat Hibernian in Marink Reedijk's debut

The Scottish Premiership has resumed following an international break, marked by the managerial debut of Marink Reedijk at Hibernian. In his first match in charge, Reedijk’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat against Dundee United at Tannadice.

Dundee United secured their first home league win of the season through a first-half goal by on-loan QPR winger Daniel Bennie. Hibernian struggled to find an equalizer and finished the match with ten men after substitute Jacob Devaney was sent off. The result moves Dundee United up to fifth in the Premiership table, while Hibernian remains in tenth.

The restart of the league follows a period of rest that presented varying challenges for clubs; while some used the time for recovery, others, such as Rangers, faced the difficulty of recapturing momentum after a period of domestic success.
