Funcom sets Sept. 22 console launch for Dune: Awakening, adds PS5 physical edition

Funcom announced that its open‑world survival title Dune: Awakening will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 22, 2026. The console version will include the full single‑player campaign, scalable difficulty settings, extensive gameplay‑customisation options and the Book One story finale. Performance‑mode targets 60 fps on both consoles.

A physical edition for PS5 will be sold worldwide. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe will handle retail in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, while Solutions 2 GO will distribute in North and South America; a Japanese publisher will be announced later. Pre‑orders offer the exclusive “Terrarium of Muad’Dib” décor item and a global colour swatch, with Deluxe and Ultimate editions adding DLC, armour sets, building parts and five‑day early access.

The release follows a year of PC updates that added new regions, missions, end‑game content and a shift toward PvE, all of which will be integrated into the console launch. Pre‑orders for digital and physical copies have been open since early June.
