Dune London explores potential sale amid rising losses

Dune London, the British footwear and accessories brand established in 1992, is exploring strategic options for its future, including a potential sale. The move comes as founder and Chairman Daniel Rubin prepares for retirement.

The company is currently evaluating various models, such as new investment, partnerships, or changes in ownership, with support from the merger and acquisition team at FTI Consulting. While discussions are in the early stages, Rubin noted that the brand has significant opportunities for international growth.

The strategic review follows a period of financial decline. For the fiscal year ending February 2025, Dune London reported a 50.7% increase in losses, reaching £5.9 million. Additionally, the company's EBITDA fell from £4.9 million to £200,000 over the same period. The brand operates more than 350 stores globally across 37 markets and distributes products through retailers including Next and Frasers in the UK, and Nordstrom and Dillard's in the US.
