Dune: Part Three hailed as a masterpiece by returning actor Javier Bardem

Filmmaker Denis Villeneuve is in post‑production on “Dune: Part Three,” the final installment of the saga that adapts Frank Herbert’s novel *Dune: Messiah* and is slated to open on December 18. Returning to the role of Stilgar, actor Javier Bardem told Entertainment Tonight that the film will be “a masterpiece, a feast, something extraordinary” that goes beyond the expectations of the book.

Bardem’s comments come amid speculation that Villeneuve may also incorporate elements from the third novel *Children of Dune*. The cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Robert Pattinson and Anya Taylor‑Joy, with Momoa’s son Nakoa‑Wolf Momoa and newcomer Ida Brooke slated to portray Paul’s children Leto II and Ghanima.

The film is expected to run over three hours and aims to push the narrative further than the previous entries, promising a dramatic conclusion to the epic series.
