Dunggeun Maeum Bogeumjari to host beachcombing art exhibition

Dunggeun Maeum Bogeumjari, a social welfare corporation, will host the ‘Value Brand of Me’ art exhibition on September 1 at the Buan Arts Center. Supported by the Jeonbuk Social Welfare Community Chest, the event aims to expand cultural and artistic opportunities for individuals with severe disabilities while promoting marine environmental protection and resource recycling.

The exhibition features beachcombing crafts created from marine waste collected during cleanup activities. Participants utilized materials such as glass shards, seashells, and discarded wood to create various artworks. This initiative highlights the concept of resource circulation by transforming discarded ocean debris into aesthetic pieces.

In addition to viewing the works, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase select items, allowing participants to experience a sense of achievement and share artistic value with the local community. Director Seo In-ja stated that the exhibition serves as a vital opportunity for individuals with disabilities to express their emotions and communicate with society.
