Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam pledges support for Prabowo administration

The Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam (DMDI) organization held its National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) and International Seminar in August 2026. During the event, DMDI leadership expressed a commitment to synergize with President Prabowo Subianto’s administration, specifically supporting strategic programs such as the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) initiative and food security efforts.

Sultan Baktiar Najamudin, Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI), praised the organization for engaging younger generations, including Gen Z and Millennials, to preserve national values. He highlighted DMDI’s role as a tool for cultural diplomacy and a means to strengthen ties between Malay-speaking nations facing shared challenges in food security, energy, and environmental crises.

DMDI Chairman Said Aldi Al Idrus emphasized the organization’s focus on humanitarian actions, noting the importance of providing real assistance during disasters, such as the recent events in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). He noted that DMDI’s extensive global diaspora network serves as a significant asset for contributing to national development.
