Dunkirk student files complaint after police vehicle incident
A 14-year-old student has filed a formal complaint following a controversial police operation during a student blockade in Dunkirk. The teenager alleges she was struck by a National Police vehicle on October 5.
Videos circulating on social media show a police vehicle driving at high speed near several youths in the vicinity of Saint-Martin Church, causing people to scramble out of the way. The prosecutor's office confirmed the complaint, noting that the student reported being hit in the hip and upper leg, resulting in a minor bruise.
An investigation into potential endangerment was launched on October 8. Authorities are examining the speed of the vehicle, the maneuvers performed, and the crew's situational assessment. Investigators intend to use video footage, witness statements, and municipal camera recordings to reconstruct the event.
