Duoc UC joins Valparaíso Logistics Forum to strengthen industry ties

Duoc UC has officially joined the Foro Logístico de Valparaíso (Folovap), Chile’s first port logistics community. This integration aims to strengthen the connection between technical-professional education and the practical requirements of the port and foreign trade industries in Valparaíso.

Through this partnership, Duoc UC students in fields such as Logistics and Foreign Trade will participate in community activities, meetings, and lectures. The collaboration is designed to ensure academic programs are updated based on real-world industry dynamics and transformations.

Braulio Cubillos, president of Folovap, noted that the move is timely given the region's potential and the need for an efficient industry supported by prepared students. Óscar Cristi, director of Duoc UC’s School of Administration and Business, stated the benefit is mutual, allowing students to meet industry needs while the institution gains direct insight into sector changes. Duoc UC joins other academic institutions in the forum, including the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, the Universidad de Valparaíso, and the Universidad Viña del Mar.
