Duolingo beats Q2 2026 earnings forecasts as daily active users surge

Education platform Duolingo reported Q2 2026 revenue of $298.5 million, up 18% year‑over‑year, and earnings per share of $0.66, surpassing analyst expectations. Daily active users rose 23% to 58.7 million and monthly active users grew 9.6% to 140.6 million, driven by product updates, marketing efforts and a June "Streak Revival" promotion. The company projects Q3 bookings of about $307 million and revenue of $302 million, and expects daily‑active‑user growth to stay above its 20% target for the remainder of the year, aiming for 100 million DAU by 2028.

Online marketplace Groupon posted Q2 2026 revenue of $124.7 million, a 0.8% decline from the prior year and below consensus estimates. Adjusted EBITDA reached $14.8 million, beating forecasts, while the active‑customer base grew 1.9% to 16.1 million. The firm confirmed its full‑year revenue outlook and raised its full‑year adjusted EBITDA guidance, forecasting FY 2026 revenue of $513‑$523 million and EBITDA of $19‑$21 million. Ongoing restructuring aims to cut costs by $20‑$25 million annually.
