Dupahiya creators address exam leak storyline similarities

Creators of the upcoming second season of the series ‘Dupahiya’ expressed initial concerns regarding a storyline involving an exam paper leak due to its striking resemblance to real-world events in India.

Creator Salona Bains Joshi noted that the script was written over a year ago, prior to the July protests in India concerning NEET paper leaks. Despite the initial apprehension, Joshi stated that the production team regained confidence after realizing the show’s messaging remains positive and aims to present the topic correctly without being preachy.

The new season is set to release on streaming platforms, continuing the narrative in the fictional village of Dhadakpur and featuring a cast that includes Gajraj Rao, Bhuvan Arora, and Dinesh Lal Yadav.
