Dupnitsa Municipality unveils €35 million draft budget for 2026

The Dupnitsa Municipality has presented its draft budget for 2026, outlining a financial framework of approximately €35 million to €36 million. When including expected additional funding from European and national programs, the consolidated budget is projected to exceed €45 million.

Local activity revenues are planned at €9,373,000, representing an increase of nearly €2.7 million compared to 2025. This growth is attributed largely to land sales and waste management revenues. The investment program for capital expenditures is set at €2,889,283, which includes funds for infrastructure repairs such as road maintenance, the construction of a transport bridge over the Otovitsa River, and various urban improvements.

Social and sporting allocations include €150,000 specifically for the football club FC Marek 1915 and €77,000 for other local sports clubs. Additionally, €110,000 is earmarked for cultural events, and €20,000 is allocated to the ‘In Vitro’ municipal program. The budget also maintains a policy where 30% of property sale proceeds from specific settlements are redistributed back to those local areas.
