DuPont launches Tyvek with renewable attribution

DuPont has announced the global launch of Tyvek with Renewable Attribution for Consumer and Industrial (C&I) applications. This innovation allows customers to utilize certified bio-circular materials in products such as active packaging, tags, labels, race bibs, wristbands, and various industrial packaging like dunnage and bags.

The new material offers renewable attribution levels ranging from 30% to 100%, utilizing an ISCC PLUS-certified mass balance approach. This method tracks certified bio-circular feedstocks within the upstream supply chain to reduce reliance on fossil feedstocks. The feedstocks are derived from second-generation biomass, including waste and residues that do not compete with food production.

This technology is designed to help companies reduce their carbon footprint, specifically regarding Scope 3 emissions, without requiring them to redesign existing products or manufacturing processes.
