Akron Zips Duquesne Dukes women's soccer men's soccer NCAA

The Akron women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season in a 2-0 road defeat against Duquesne at Arthur J. Rooney Field. Despite outshooting the Dukes 16-9, the Zips were unable to score after Duquesne established a two-goal lead by halftime. Duquesne goalkeeper Ali Hughes recorded seven saves to secure the shutout.

With this result, Akron moves to a 2-1 overall record, while Duquesne improves to 2-2. Akron's next scheduled match is against the Louisville Cardinals on August 30.
