Durand Cup 2026: Indian Army thrash Baghpat FC, FC1 rally to beat Karbi Anglong

Indian Army Football Team continued its strong start to the 135th Durand Cup with a 4‑0 victory over Baghpat FC in a Group B match at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan. Goals came from Samir Murmu, Saikhom Borish Singh, Shubham Rana and P. Christopher Kamei, giving the Services side six points from two games while Baghpat FC ended its debut campaign winless.

In Group F, FC1 recorded a 2‑1 comeback win against Karbi Anglong Morning Star at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium. Karbi Anglong took the lead through Joseph Mayowa Olaleye, but FC1 equalised via Shakir Ahmad Sheikh before Hayat Bashir headed the winner. FC1 finished the match with ten men after defender Tetty Armando Yoko received a straight red card in the 60th minute.
