Durden & Hunt acquires Diggins & Co to expand Essex coverage

Estate agency Durden & Hunt has expanded its network through the acquisition of South Essex-based firm Diggins & Co. The deal incorporates the Rochford and Rayleigh agencies into the Durden & Hunt network, providing the business with coverage across every postcode in Essex.

South Essex operations will be managed from Durden & Hunt’s Broadway West branch in Leigh-on-Sea. Diggins & Co founder Darren Diggins will continue to support the business in a consultancy role. The agency has already begun integrating properties from Diggins & Co into its website and major property portals.

This acquisition follows the opening of a new branch in Leigh-on-Sea in July and is part of a broader growth strategy. Durden & Hunt founder James Hunt indicated plans for further expansion, including a potential new branch in Stoke Newington, north London, and an increased presence in Ibiza.
